What is Stress Incontinence?
Stress incontinence – also known as urinary stress incontinence – occurs when the pelvic floor and vaginal muscles are weakened.
The most common causes are:
- Pregnancy & childbirth (postpartum)
- Hormonal changes during menopause
- Tissue aging & connective tissue weakness
- Overweight or chronic coughing
Typical are involuntary urine leaks during physical strain, without the urge to urinate. Early, targeted treatment can make a significant difference.
