Consultation and Questions
Before every radiofrequency treatment with Morpheus8, a detailed consultation with the practitioner takes place. During this consultation, all personal goals and concerns can be discussed, and any questions regarding the treatment or procedure can be clarified.
The Morpheus8 treatment
To reduce discomfort, a numbing cream is applied to the skin before the procedure. The treatment is performed using a Morpheus8 applicator—a handpiece equipped with 24 fine, gold-plated microneedles. These needles are placed onto the skin and penetrate to a depth of 0.5 to 7 mm, depending on the treatment area.
Once in place, the device delivers radiofrequency energy through the needles into the deeper layers of the skin. After a few seconds, the applicator is moved to the next adjacent area, and the process is repeated.
The microneedling causes micro-injuries in the skin, which trigger the body’s natural healing and regeneration process. This stimulates the production of skin-tightening and structure-enhancing substances, leading to a rejuvenating effect. After treatment (aftercare)

Morpheus8 is a device approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
To receive this certification, both the safety and effectiveness of the medical device must be demonstrated through various clinical studies.Thanks to the adjustable penetration depth of the microneedling needles (0.5 – 7 mm) and the precisely controlled delivery of radiofrequency energy, different areas of the face and body can be treated individually and effectively.
Additionally, the treatment is gentle on the outer layers of the skin, as the radiofrequency energy is delivered only through the tips of the needles. This makes the procedure particularly gentle, with significantly less downtime compared to traditional treatments.
Typically, the following areas are treated:
- Face and eye area
- Neck, décolleté, and nape
- Body (upper arms, abdomen, back, thighs, knees, buttocks)
Additionally, this procedure can be used to treat hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). The heat delivered by the microneedles can specifically target and deactivate overactive sweat glands.
A session usually lasts 30 to 60 minutes depending on the treated area and skin condition.
A special anesthetic cream is applied to the areas to be treated before treatment. With this anesthetic, the treatment is easy to bear.
The downtime after a Morpheus8 treatment is approximately 1–2 days. Following the procedure, the skin may appear red and show minimal marks due to the microneedling. However, there is no crusting or surface injury, making the recovery process gentle and relatively short.
First results are often visible after just a few days, but skin improvements continue in the following weeks.
The side effects of Morpheus8 are minimal and typically include mild redness or swelling, which usually subside within a few hours to a few days.
For best results, usually 3 treatments in Interval of 4 to 6 weeks recommended, depending on individual skin goals.
If you are at risk of fever blisters, we recommend that you start medical prophylaxis two days before Morpheus8 treatment. Wrinkle treatments with Botox® or hyaluronic acid should have been done at least 4 weeks ago.
Morpheus8 works on the skin and not on the muscles. You should wait approximately 14 days before a Botox® treatment before you get Morpheus8. Depending on the skin condition, an interval of 4 weeks may be necessary.
There is no evidence that Morpheus8 dissolves Botox®. Both treatments work in different ways, but with the same goal: skin rejuvenation.
